 Regrettably, we are unable to offer opportunities for environmental education on this refuge.  Regrettably, we are unable to offer opportunities for fishing on this refuge.  Waterfowl hunting is permitted on the Cow Island Unit of Plum Tree Island National Wildlife Refuge. A Refuge permit is required for hunting. Permits are made available through an on-line lottery. Season dates and restrictions vary annually. For more information, contact the refuge office, 804 829-9020.  Regrettably, we are unable to offer opportunities for interpretive programs on this refuge.  Regrettably, we are unable to offer opportunities for wildlife observation or photography on this refuge. 
 Regrettably, this refuge is closed to the public except for waterfowl hunting, by refuge permit, on the Cow Island portion of the refuge.  Regrettably, this refuge is closed to the public visitation. |
