  Recreation and Education Opportunities

Environmental Education
Environmental education is an important program on the refuge. Groups are welcome. Arrangements for programs may be made by calling the refuge office.

Fishing
Fishing is not permitted on Overflow National Wildlife Refuge.

Hunting
Hunting of small game (squirrel, rabbits and quail), big game (deer and turkey) and waterfowl is permitted on designated areas during designated hunts. Contact the refuge office or visit one of the brochure boxes located on the refuge for regulations. To apply for the Quota Deer Hunt go to: http://www.fws.gov/felsenthal/

Interpretation
At the present time there are no interpretive opportunities at Overflow Refuge.

Wildlife Observation
Unimproved roads and ATV trails serve as popular pathways for hiking and wildlife observation which are permitted on most of the refuge throughout the year.




Hours
Visitor Center - Open 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday - Friday. Most refuge roads are open year-round. For those that are seasonal refer to the refuge brochure.
