  Recreation and Education Opportunities

Environmental Education
Crocodile Lake NWR is closed to public access due to its small size and the extreme sensitivity of wildlife to human disturbance. However, at the refuge headquarters there is an interpretive butterfly garden that highlights important qualities of hardwood hammocks. Planning for an interpretive trail through a portion of hammock is currently underway.

Hours
The refuge is closed to public access except for the interpretive butterfly garden at the refuge headquarters. The garden may be visited anytime during daylight hours.
