 Sport fishing is permitted in designated areas. An information leaflet is available showing open areas and regulations.  Hunting is permitted in designated areas. An information leaflet is available showing open areas and regulations. The South Pond Observation/Hunting Blind is accessible to hunters with disabilities; reservations required.  Several foot trails and an auto tour road are open from sunrise to sunset daily and offer the opportunity to view songbirds, raptors, deer, and other wildlife. A total of 230 bird species and 45 mammal species have been observed on the refuge. 
 The refuge is open to visitors daily during daylight hours only. Office hours are weekdays 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Several foot trails are open from sunrise to sunset daily
