 Nestucca Bay Refuge has partnered with two schools--Nestucca High School and the Jane Goodall Environmental Middle School --to get students out of the classroom and into the outdoors. Through this active environmental education program, students participate in service learning projects and conduct their own scientific research projects developed in accordance with the refuge's management goals and objectives.  Come visit and explore the interpretive trails of Nestucca Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The patient observer will be rewarded with many wildlife viewing opportunities on the refuge.  The refuge is currently closed to all public use, except during special events. However, opportunities for seasonal public use are currently being developed. 
 Parking lots and hiking trails are open daily, sunrise to sunset.
