You are encouraged to stop at the refuge headquarters and visitor center when you first arrive. Refuge wildlife are colorfully described by exhibits, and information regarding wildlife viewing opportunities, road conditions, upcoming events, and an opportunity to purchase wildlife oriented books and other items. Proceeds are used to support refuge education programs. Wildlife-oriented teacher workshops and interpretive programs for schools and other organizations may be arranged by contacting refuge headquarters.
