  Hunting

All hunters must use self registration boxes located at various hunter access points.

Vehicle access is restricted during parts of deer season. Hunting is restricted to Archery and Shotgun in certain areas. Steel shot is mandatory for ALL shotgun hunting regardless of the species being hunted.

Waterfowl

The Management Unit is open for waterfowl hunting until 12:00 noon on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays only, except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. For safety reasons, only three persons are allowed per blind.

Waterfowl hunters may not leave before 9:30 a.m., and must be off the unit by 12:00 noon. Vehicles are not allowed on fields. Decoy use is mandatory for waterfowl hunting. Retriever dogs are allowed. Waterfowl hunters are limited to twenty-five (25) steel shot shells in possession.

Archery deer hunting is allowed in accordance with the state archery season. Federal regulations prohibit baiting for deer on this area. Portable or temporary stands may be utilized. Stands must be removed by sundown December 31. No spikes or other damaging items may be driven into trees.

Dove hunting is permitted in accordance with the state season.

Rabbit, squirrel and quail may be hunted during the state season.

Turkey hunting is allowed during the spring shotgun season and during the fall archery season in accordance with state regulations.

Pursuing with hounds or trapping is prohibited.

All other wildlife protected.
