Fishing is in accordance with all applicable state regulations and is permitted from sunrise to sunset on all areas of the refuge except the management compartments and those areas marked by signs as closed to public entry and fishing. Boats may NOT be left on the refuge overnight. Only the use of rods and reels or poles and lines are permitted. Fishing equipment must be attended at all times. Commercial fishing or the taking of frogs or turtles is prohibited. The possession or use of trotlines, gigs, jugs, seines, castnets, or other fishing devices not described above is prohibited. All persons between the ages of 16 and 65 must have a valid state freshwater fishing license.
