Earth Day Cleanups Earth Day, April 22, has been set aside since 1970 to celebrate the earth’s richness, recognize its fragility and educate people about what they can do to help protect the planet. Many refuges will host public events
Celebrate International Migratory Bird Day International Migratory Bird Day, observed on or about the second Saturday in May, calls attention to the remarkable journeys of some 350 species of migratory birds between nesting habitats in North America and wintering grounds in South and Central America. Many refuges will host public events.
National Fishing and Boating Week Many refuges will host public events on or around the week of June 4 to mark this annual celebration of fishing and boating, sponsored by the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation.
