The Alaska Game Law is passed, authorizing the Bureau of Biological Survey to work with the Alaska Game Commission to manage fish and wildlife in the state. |

The Migratory Bird Conservation Act is passed, creating the Migratory Bird Conservation Commission to oversee acquisition of refuge lands. The Act also states that refuges are to be managed as "inviolate sanctuaries" for migratory birds. |
