Join us during National Wildlife Refuge Week for a mild hike into the Refuge to look for condors and other wildlife while learning about local ecology. Bring good hiking shoes, plenty of water, sunscreen, layered clothing and binoculars. Bitter Creek National Wildlife Refuge has many rare and endangered species including Tule elk, San Joaquin kit fox, California condors and much more. The Refuge is normally closed to the public, so this is a rare opportunity to come and enjoy this conservation treasure in honor of National Wildlife Refuge Week. National wildlife refuge staff will be on hand to answer questions. More information, including detailed directions, will follow once your reservation is received (you must RSVP for this event).
