Overview
The Navajo Generating Station (NGS), operated by Salt River Project (SRP) is located on the Navajo Nation and approximatly 20 km from Grand Canyon National Park (NP). The plant is located within 300 km of 11 Class I areas, which also includes Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Mesa Verde, Petrified Forest, and Zion NPs (areas also administered by the National Parks Service (NPS)).
