About the Complex
The Theodore Roosevelt National Wildlife Refuge Complex is the largest refuge complex in the state of Mississippi and includes over 100,000 acres of refuge lands on seven refuges.

Louisiana Black Bear
Louisiana black bears are a subspecies of the American black bear and are currently listed as Threatened on the Endangered Species List. Once commonly found throughout Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas, they now have an extremely limited range in Mississippi.
