Marsh Madness!

Kaykers_512x219The public is invited to Marsh Madness!, a fun event for families, educational groups, hunters, anglers, kayakers, adventure seekers and anyone with an interest in the outdoors!

2013 Marsh Madness! has been cancelled

The one-day event includes fun activities where participants can enjoy the outdoors while learning about the habitat and wildlife found on this stretch of the Gulf of Mexico. Hands-on activities and demonstrations include kayaking, fishing, crabbing, water safety, bird identification and more! Practice your duck calls and watch some well-trained dogs in action during retrieving demonstrations.

Wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet or muddy. You will appreciate having a hat or other protection from the sun. Food and drink vendors are on site.

Marsh Madness! is held at McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge from 10am-2pm.

Directions:  Marsh Madness! is held on the refuge, which is located on Highway 87 approximately 15 miles from Port Arthur and 12 miles west of the town of Sabine Pass.

Contact the refuge for more information.
