volunteer removing invasive species

Did you know that volunteers perform as much as 20% of the work done on national wildlife refuges across the country? We invite you to become one of these very important people and help in whatever capacity you are able within the Windom Wetland Management District. Duties of volunteers are flexible, and we will try to match your interests with the district’s work as much as possible. Examples of volunteer opportunities include biological surveys, clerical tasks, environmental education, general grounds maintenance and habitat restoration activities. Becoming a volunteer is easy. Just call (507-831-2220), email or stop by the district office in Windom, complete the volunteer agreement form, and let us know your interests. Any help is welcome, but we are especially looking for long-term volunteers who want to take on a consistent responsibility.
