Native American Programs

The Native American Environmental Education Program is designed to instill awareness and appreciation of environmental issues, while giving students a "sense of the sacred" in the Native American relationship with the natural world.

Programs have been developed for various Plains tribes and include hands-on activities with a range of topics that could include combined art, tribal tradition and modern environmental ethics. Established in June of 1998, this program celebrates the Native American heritage and wildlife legacy. Educational programs are scheduled on weekends to allow time for more in-depth learning experiences.
