Rules and Regulations

Whittlesey Creek National Wildlife Refuge lands are accessible year round and are open sunrise to sunset. Acceptable outdoor uses include: hunting, fishing, nature photography and wildlife observation. Since refuge-specific hunting regulations are in effect, it is important to contact the office before heading out in the field. It is important to note the following specific regulations that may be different than state regulations:

Dogs must be on a leash unless engaged in a legal hunting activity
Motorized vehicles are limited to parking lots
Permanent blinds or permanent tree stands are prohibited
Baiting is not allowed for hunting
Horseback riding is not allowed
