Friends Groups:

Friends of the Refuge Headwaters  -is the Friends group for  Winona District from Wabasha, MN to La Crosse, WI. (River Pools 4-6)

Upper Mississippi River Interpretive Association - operates bookstore in La Crosse District Visitor Center.  La Crosse District stretches from Onalaska, WI to Reno, Minnesota.

Friends of the Upper Mississippi River - In 2013, Mississippi Wild and Friends of the Upper Mississippi Fishery Services both folded and regrouped to form the Friends of the Upper Mississippi River.

Friends of Pool 9 -is one of the Friends groups for the McGregor District.  Pool 9 stretches From Reno, MN to Lynxville, WI.

Friends of Pool 10 is another Friends group for the McGregor District.  Pool 10 stretches from Harpers Ferry, Iowa to Guttenberg, Iowa.

Stewards of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge - is the Friends Group for the Savanna District.  It operates bookstore in Savanna District Office and Ingersoll Wetlands Learning Center. Savanna District stretches from Dubuque, Iowa to Princeton, Iowa. (Pools 12-14)
