1. All photos must include at least a portion of a canoe or kayak and be taken on the Upper Mississippi River or Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuges. Photos not meeting this rule will be disqualified.

2. Each entry must be the original work of the person submitting and no computer software filters may be applied to the photo.

3. Entry photos shall be 8” x 10” and matted to the size of 11” x 14” using either a black or a white mat.

4. No glass frames allowed.

5. You are allowed to enter FIVE photos per person.

6. Completed entry forms must be attached to the back of each photo. Each entry must include a title for the photo.

7. No names on the front of photos.
 

To enter each photo must have an Entry Form and signed Release form to allow the use of the photo.
 

 If a photo is of a person(s), a signed release form for each individual in the photo is required.  

 Photos will be judged on three criteria: capturing the spirit of the Refuge, technical quality and intrinsic beauty.

Awards will be given for:
1st place: $100.00
2nd place: $75.00
3rd place: $50.00

Friends of the Upper Mississippi River Refuges (FUMRR) and the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife & Fish Refuge have the right to publish the winning photographs for educational, informational, and promotional purposes.
