Hunting

Controlled Hunt / MurphyHunting is one of the priority recreational uses on National Wildlife Refuges and compatible with the mission of this refuge. While enjoying this traditional, recreational activity, hunters help manage these lands for the benefit of wildlife and you.

Tishomingo Wildlife Management Unit Hunts
Cooperatively managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation
The 3,150 acre Wildlife Management Unit consists of three separate management areas: Check Station Unit, Airport Unit and the Pennington Bottom Unit. Limited hunting opportunities are allowed within these areas in accordance with federal and state regulations and season dates. To hunt the Unit, hunters must have in their possession the Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge permit found in the refuge’s Hunting and Fishing Regulations and Map -- this is also where permitted species can be found.
