The Light-footed Clapper Rail only lives in wetlands along the coast of southern CA and northern Baja CA, Mexico. They are very secretive birds within the thick marsh, and exhibit a loud call of "Kek-kek-kek." They were listed as Federally Endangered in 1970 due to habitat loss and degradation.
