Refuge headquarters sign Welcome to Texas Point National Wildlife Refuge!

Texas Chenier Plain Refuge Complex Visitor Center: 

Open Wednesday through Sunday, 10am to 5pm.  

The public can get information and learn about the Texas Point, Anahuac and McFaddin National Wildlife Refuges at the Texas Chenier Plain Refuge’s visitor center located in Anahuac, Texas. Here, refuge staff and volunteers are available to provide maps and other information on all three refuges. The visitor center is approximately 50 miles west of Sabine Pass, between Baytown and Winnie, and is about two miles south of I-10 on FM 563. Get directions.

Texas Point Refuge Headquarters:
The business office for Texas Point is shared with McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge and is located on Hwy. 87, south of Sabine Pass, TX.   Contact the refuge for more information on directions and office hours.

Enjoying the Refuge
The Texas Point National Wildlife Refuge is open to the public free of charge seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Enjoy wildlife-related recreation, including waterfowl hunting, wildlife watching, fishing and crabbing.

Directions
Texas Point Refuge Headquarters: Located on Highway 87 in southeastern Texas, near the Louisiana border, it is approximately 15 miles from Port Arthur and 90 miles east of Houston. From Sabine Pass, it is 2.25 miles west of the four-way stop.  The lat/long coordinates for the headquarters is 29.668571, -94.073828.

Texas Chenier Plain Refuge Complex Visitor Center: Is about one hour east of Houston and located on FM 563 approximately two miles south of I-10 (exit 810). The lat/long for the refuge headquarters is 29.822737, -94.663653.
