Summer fire carnivals, habitat camps and other various summer activities focus on fire’s natural role in the forest ecosystem.

Residents and visitors are kept abreast of summer fire situations through public meetings, flyers and local news articles.

The FireWise program teaches homeowners how to improve the fire “defensibility” of their property. It is offered through various local venues.
