Tetlin Refuge Visitor Center has wildlife
exhibits, visitor information, and a large observation deck with spotting
scopes. Open daily 8:00 a.m. - 4:30
p.m., May 15 – September 15, Milepost 1229 Alaska Highway.Tetlin Refuge is a valued sanctuary for
wildlife where people can continue cultural traditions, be involved in learning
and research within its ecosystems, and enjoy its natural beauty and
solitude. For centuries, the wetlands and forests of
Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge have served as a natural travel corridor for
wildlife and people, allowing them to survive in this land of extremes. Our Visitor Center is a great place to learn more about Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge.
