Volunteers - Promo Intro - 512 x 219Volunteers play an important role in fulfilling the mission at Tensas River National Wildlife Refuge by giving countless hours assisting with conservation efforts, maintenance, wildlife and habitat management, special events and a number of other everyday refuge activities.

Tensas River NWR welcomes volunteers of any interest and experience level.  Possible volunteer opportunities range from interpretation and environmental education to resource management and maintenance.  The refuge also recruits volunteers to help with special events both on and off refuge.  We encourage volunteers to become involved with the Tensas River Refuge Association, a non-profit membership organization that assists the refuge in accomplishing its mission of wildlife management and conservation.

If you are interested in volunteering and/or joining the Tensas River Refuge Association, please stop by the Visitor Center or call 318-574-2664.  Also be sure and check back regularly with us for more information on volunteer opportunities!!
