Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers provide their skills and energy to assist with school programs, clean-up projects, visitor center information desk, maintenance of public facilities, trail construction, office work and wildlife monitoring. By volunteering you'll gain knowledge about the Sullys Hill, its purpose, and become involved in the stewardship of wildlife, natural landscapes, and quality of life for people in the northeastern North Dakota.
 

Friends of Sullys Hill

Join the Friends of Sullys Hill, a non-profit organization that promotes the understanding and appreciation of the natural environment and history of Sullys Hill National Game Preserve. The Friends of Sullys Hill provide support for environmental education, interpretation, recreation and management of facilities and habitat. Youth Conservation Corp (YCC)

YCC is a summer employment program, established for young men and women between the ages of 15 through 18. Employment periods typically last for eight weeks, depending upon the regional academic calendars, and the enrollees normally work a 40-hour week. Projects may include trail building, improving wildlife habitat, posting boundary signs, invasive plant control, bird banding, simple construction, office work and general maintenance activities as needed.  Contact staff at Sullys Hill NGP to learn more about local opportunities and deadlines for application.  Application forms can be downloaded at https://www.fws.gov/mountain-prairie/ycc/
