Get InvolvedFrom its start in 1903, the National Wildlife Refuge System has owed its very existence to concerned citizens eager to protect America’s natural resources.

Friends of St. Catherine Creek Refuge

Interested citizens formed this local independent non-profit association to provide additional services to the refuge and the ever-growing number of visitors.  Members take pride in the refuge and believe all citizens should share the responsibilities of caring for their public lands. Volunteering Experience

Want to have fun, meet new people, and help wildlife?  Become a volunteer with the St. Catherine Creek National Wildlife Refuge.  Volunteers are actively involved in many of the refuge programs.  Volunteers donate more than 2,500 volunteer hours each year to directly benefit the wildlife and habitat of the refuge.

RV Volunteer Program:  St. Catherine Creek National Wildlife Refuge offers an opportunity for RV volunteers to staff the Visitor Center and assist staff with various maintenance related projects.  We offer two RV sites, which include water, electric, and sewer service, as well as access to washer/dryer.  RV volunteers from all over the country and all walks of life visit and volunteer.  Volunteers get to experience some of the most rewarding wildlife work in the country.  Contact us at saintcatherinecreek@fws.gov for more information.
