Family Day from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors can paddle in a wetland, sharpen their fishing skills, handle frogs and snakes, test out tools that biologists use in the field ,and more! Activities are being sponsored by refuge partners in conservation through the Missouri Western Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society, Missouri Master Naturalist - Loess Hills Chapter, and Friends of Squaw Creek. Northwest Missouri Longtails Chapter of Pheasants Forever will be hosting a free shooting event near the refuge.
Fall Volunteer Restoration Work Day. Volunteers can help collect wildflower seeds for future restoration projects on the refuge.
