Celebrate Sevilleta poster / USFWSThe refuge hosts many special events throughout the year that are fun for the whole family!  Saturday, September 27, will be our annual "Celebrate Sevilleta" Events Day!   

From guided hikes and tours to all-day festivals and lectures.  Get more details on special events happening on the refuge, when posted on our Events Calendar page, and nation-wide efforts that benefit wildlife.

Upcoming Refuge Event:  "Celebrate Sevilleta" - a day full of Events for the entire family will be presented at Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge on Saturday, September 27th.  There will be guided tours in both vehicles and on the ground hiking, guest speakers, live animals and wildlife handlers, presentations, exhibits, hands on activities for the kids, awards for the kid's poster drawing contest, and more.  The majority of the events are free!  Reservations are required for all tours, so please call the refuge today at (505) 864-4021 to reserve your place!  All the day's schedule of events' times and details are posted in the Events Calendar link above.           

 National Wildlife Refuge Week Celebration
Celebrate your National Wildlife Refuge System!  This event is typically held the second full week of October and includes fun wildlife-related tours, talks, and walks.  Check the Events Calendar, when posted, for more details on this fun celebration. 

Christmas Bird Count
Thousands of volunteers across the country take part in this popular citizen science program. Join the efforts at Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge, which hosts two of these counts.  Please call the refuge at (505) 864-4021 for more information and check the Events Calendar.
