Northern Hardwoods Trail users please be aware of the possibility of falling limbs/trees in the area. Due to Beech Bark Disease there are many dead trees in the hardwood forest, limbs or branches may fall unexpectedly. Use these trails at your own risk. These trails may be especially dangerous during high wind events. Alternatively, you may ski, snowshoe, or hike anywhere on the refuge. We just ask that you refrain from stepping in the groomed ski trail tracks if you are not wearing skis.
