Entrance Fees

Birding_512x219Paying the entrance fee or purchasing your federal passes at Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge directly benefits the refuge! All the proceeds are used to maintain and improve the visitor services program, directly benefiting you - the visitor!

Visitors to the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge can pay entrance fees by cash or check at the Visitor Center between 8am and 4pm daily or with exact change at the self-pay station when the Visitor Center is closed.

Entrance fees are charged whether visitors are walking, driving or bicycling on the refuge. All vehicles must display a valid entrance pass.

The first Sunday of every month is FREE!

Daily Permits
General Visitors - $5.00 vehicle parking fee                                                                                                                                                        
Groups (Non-commercial) - $1.00 per person ($3.00 minimum) 

           (Commercial)- $25.00 single visit fee or $100 annual fee   
School Groups – Free (includes all accompanying teachers, aides, and parents)

Annual & Lifetime Permits
$10 Annual Refuge Pass (valid at Santa Ana and Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuges)
$15 Federal Duck Stamp (valid at all National Wildlife Refuges)
$80 Interagency Annual Pass
$80 Interagency Access Pass (lifetime pass)
$10 Interagency Senior Pass (lifetime pass)

Note: All daily, annual, and lifetime permits are available for purchase at the Visitor Center. Check with refuge staff for annual and lifetime eligibility requirements. When the Visitor Center is closed, use fee envelopes and depository provided in front of the Visitor Center.
