Visitor Center open weekends only through October 2012

Quivira's Visitor Center will be open 7 days a week from April through October.  Week-day hours will remain the same, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.  Hours on Saturday and Sunday will be from 9:00 am through 4:00 pm.  Visitors are reminded that weekend Visitor Center hours are dependent on the assistance of Refuge Volunteers.  The Visitor Center has exhibits about Quivira, restrooms, and a bookstore operated by the Friends of Quivira.  If you are traveling a long distance, you can always call ahead the day of your visit, 620-486-2393, to ensure the Visitor Center is open.  The Refuge itself is open daily during daylight hours all year.
