Refuge volunteers are very important to our mission on Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge. There are many ways you can contribute. Volunteers can help us in almost everything we do, from monitoring bird populations to leading school groups, from maintaining trails to taking photos, from helping in the office to repairing equipment and facilities. Please call the office to find out what opportunities are currently available.
The Friends of Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge was formed in 2011. The group is seeking memberships. Their purpose is to increase public awareness, appreciation, understanding, and stewardship of the refuge and the refuge system; promote and coordinate active public participation in restoration, enhancement, and management projects on the refuge. Contact the refuge for more information.
