Steamboat Lakes 512x219Pathfinder National Wildlife Refuge has diverse habitats which you can view from the interpretive overlook above Steamboat Lake, including open-water wetlands, shrub/grassland uplands and alkali flats. 

Refuge Hours: The Refuge is open from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. Camping and overnight parking are not allowed outside of the Bishops Point Campground area that is administered by Natrona County Roads, Bridges and Parks Department.

Refuge Headquarters and Visitor Center: The Refuge Headquarters is located at the Arapaho National Wildlife Refuge in Walden, Colorado. There is no Visitor Center located at Pathfinder National Wildlife Refuge.

Directions to Pathfinder NWR:  To reach the Sweetwater Arm of Pathfinder NWR, travel southwest from Alcova, Wyoming, 20 miles along state Highway 220.
