    Water levels of Lower Lake vary dramatically throughout the year. In late March the lake reaches its full capacity with October being its driest month. While mudflats are exposed the lake becomes a favorite feeding ground for spotted sandpipers, white-faced ibis, and other shore birds. Today's Picture
