Optima Creek corridor / USFWSThe U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service maintains a law enforcement presence on National Wildlife Refuge lands.

Federal law enforcement officers ensure the protection of natural resources. They address illegal activities including trespassing, poaching, taking of endangered species, dumping of trash, illegal operation of all-terrain vehicles and more.  

To report a violation on the Optima National Wildlife Refuge

  • Monday through Friday (8am to 4:30pm), please call the Refuge Headquarters at (580) 664-2205. 
  • For emergencies only, the number to call after hours or on weekends is (580) 339-2740 

For injured wildlife, please contact a qualified wildlife rehabilitation facility near you.
