Operating Hours

Front Gate Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Red Sleep Mountain Drive now open for the season.  Visitors should plan to start Red Sleep by 7:00 p.m. so as to finish before the Front Gate closes for the evening.

Winter Drive closed to two-way traffic - do not pass DO NOT ENTER signs.
The Refuge closes to all public use at night. 


   Starting Tuesday, September 2, visitors will need to start Red Sleep by 6:00 p.m. so as to finish before the Front Gate closes.   

Visitor Center
CURRENT - Summer Hours (mid-May to mid-October):
Daily (includes weekends and holidays) - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

Winter Hours (mid-October to mid-May):
Open daily about 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Red Sleep Mountain Drive is now open for the summer.  Please note that the Winter Drive is no longer open to two-way traffic.  Do not pass the DO NOT ENTER signs.
Be a safe and courteous driver and obey all posted signs.
