Operating Hours

Front Gate Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Red Sleep Mountain Drive now open for the season.  Visitors should plan to start Red Sleep by 6:00 p.m. so as to finish before the Front Gate closes for the evening.

To promote wildlife viewing along Mission Creek, the Winter Drive is open to two-way traffic after Labor Day.

The Refuge closes to all public use at night.

Visitor Center 

CURRENT - Summer Hours (mid-May to mid-October):
Daily (includes weekends and holidays) - 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

Winter Hours (mid-October to mid-May):
Open daily about 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.


Please note that to promote wildlife viewing along Mission Creek, the Winter Drive is open to two-way traffic after Labor Day.  Do not pass the DO NOT ENTER signs at the turn-around at the end.
Be a safe and courteous driver and obey all posted signs.
