Refuge Complex Visitor Center:
Open Wednesday through Sunday, 10am to 5pm. 

The public can get information and learn about the McFaddin, Anahuac and Texas Point National Wildlife Refuges at the Texas Chenier Plain Refuge’s visitor center located in Anahuac, Texas.  Here, refuge staff and volunteers are available to provide maps and other information on all three refuges.  The visitor center is approximately 50 miles west of Sabine Pass, between Baytown and Winnie, and is about two miles south of I-10 on FM 563.  Get directions

McFaddin Refuge Headquarters:
 
The business office for McFaddin is shared Texas Point National Wildlife Refuge and is located on Hwy. 87, south of Sabine Pass. Contact the refuge for directions, office hours, or more information on wildlife-related recreational opportunities offered at the refuge. 

Get Outside:
 
The McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge is open to the public free of charge seven days a week during daylight hours.  Enjoy wildlife-related recreation, including fishing, crabbing, wildlife watching, wildlife photography, and waterfowl hunting.  

The entrance gate is timed to open at sunrise and close at sunset. Restroom facilities are available near the main entrance kiosks.
 
Directions:
The refuge is located on Highway 87 in southeastern Texas, near the Louisiana border.  It is approximately 15 miles from Port Arthur, 90 miles east of Houston and 12 miles west of the town of Sabine Pass.  The lat/long coordinates for the business office is 29°40'6.39"N, 94° 4'25.98"W.
