Refuge Fishing Season
March 1 to October 31, 2013
Fishing season on Maxwell National Wildlife Refuge began March 1st and continues to October 31st on Lake 13.
Lake 13 is stocked annually by the State of New Mexico Department of Game and Fish with rainbow trout and channel catfish. Also seen are yellow perch, black bullhead, green sunfish, bluegill, walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, white sucker, Plains killifish, and fathead minnow.
Fun for all ages! Season begins on March 1, 2013.
