Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge is a part of Klamath Basin National Wildlife Refuge Complex which includes 6 other refuges located in Southern Oregon and Northern California. The headquarters for the Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge is located at Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuge visitor center.
As a way to improve plants and wildlife, refuge staff uses a variety of habitat management techniques to maintain, recover or enhance plant and wildlife values. Refuge staff carefully considers any management techniques and employ them in varying degrees according to the situation.
