Law Enforcement

Law Enforcement officers at the Kenai National Wildlife
Refuge help visitors understand and obey wildlife protection laws. They work
closely with state and local government offices to enforce federal and state
hunting regulations that protect migratory birds and other game species from
illegal take and preserve legitimate hunting and viewing opportunities.
Officers also play a role in our successful managing of ecosystems, protection
of endangered species and wildlife habitats, prevention of invasive species,
assurance of public safety, and promotion of international wildlife
conservation.
