    Download the FREE Discover Ding Game App before you arrive to the Refuge! Learn about the National Wildlife Refuge System and the J.N. "Ding" Darling NWR. When you visit, play the nature trivia game which will activate once you are on the Wildlife Drive.  Share photos, field tips, and score high points and virtual badges!   • iNature Trail

    iNature Promo

    The iNature Trail is an interactive trail along Wildlife Drive using QR Code technology to provide ranger-led tours at your fingertips. First, download the free NeoReader App on your smartphone. Then, look for the 10 iNature signs (pictured left) on the right-hand side throughout Wildlife Drive and scan the QR code to hear from a Refuge Ranger. Available for iPhone and Android.

  • Caching at the Refuge

    Cache Widget Promo

    Caching is a modern treasure hunt using GPS devices or your smartphone. Complete the multicache to learn more about the Refuge by answering questions that will reveal the coordinates of the final location to claim your prize. You can also explore the Refuge by completing the two earthcaches: one is at the Bailey Tract and one is on Wildlife Drive. Loaner GPS devices are available in the Visitor & Education Center.

    eBird Widget Promo

    A real-time, online checklist program, eBird has revolutionized the way that birders access and report information about birds. Record your Refuge birding observations on our eBird Trail Tracker Kiosk in the Visitor & Education Center or online at www.ebird.org. Join others in an international network of eBird users and learn more about birds, their calls, and habits to help you be a better birder.
