The Refuge staff also travels to schools in order to provide informal education in Ventura County about the California Condor Recovery Program and the biology of condors.
Friends of California Condors Wild & Free also conduct tours during special events such as Refuge Week during the month of October.
For specific inquiries about classroom presentations or possible refuge tours, please contact the Refuge Complex Headquarters at: (805) 644-5185.
Due to limited staff and sensitivity of endangered condors, we are not able to conduct formal environmental education programs and tours on a regular basis.
