Refuge Programs for Kids
On the second Saturday of each month, the Friends of Hagerman offer free nature programs for children ages four to ten in the Friends Nature Classroom. There is a different topic each month and the group usually takes a short field trip and/or creates a nature craft. The programs are free, but space is limited and registration is required. Please send an e-mail to Hagerman Youth for more information or to reserve space for an upcoming program.
Special fishing events for youths are held each year and the refuge always welcomes Boy Scout, Girl Scout, 4-H and all other youth groups. To schedule a program for a youth group or find out more about upcoming events, call the refuge at (903) 786-2826.
