Volunteer with the Education Program!

Kid with Brochure 512x375

Beginning in the Fall of 2014, throughout the school year, the Grays Harbor NWR education program will perform in-classroom outreach to local schools. During the Spring shorebird migration, the Refuge will conduct a number of field trips to Grays Harbor NWR for 3rd and 4th graders in Grays Harbor County.

We will need volunteers to assist with these classroom visits and with the field trips, which each last about 2 hours. Before doing so, you may have the opportunity to attend one of our free volunteer trainings and receive all the tools and information you will need. You will be introduced to the Shorebird Sister Schools Program, meet other wonderful volunteers, and receive a volunteer packet. No date has been set for our next training, but we are always interested in hearing from interested volunteers!
