There are lots of fun, interesting, and educational things you can do on the refuge. Keep in mind, if an activity is not wildlife related and doesn’t help in the protection or understanding of wildlife or their habitat, there are probably refuge rules governing this activity. Please check with the refuge management before participating in an activity that could harm the environment or yourself. Clarence Cannon National Wildlife Refuge is open to public use during daylight hours only. Refuge hunting and fishing are limited activities on the refuge. For further information on these activities, please check the Public Use Regulations brochure or call the refuge before your visit.
• Off road vehicle use is prohibited.• Bicycling and hiking are allowed on Refuge roads unless otherwise posted. • Berry and mushroom gathering are permitted for personal consumption only. These items shall not be used for any commercial use. • Pets must be on a leash.• Collection of shed antlers on the refuge is prohibited.• Camping, trapping, and the taking of turtles or frogs are prohibited on the Refuge.
