Racoon_512x219The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service maintains a law enforcement presence on National Wildlife Refuge lands.

Federal law enforcement officers ensure the safety of the public and the protection of natural resources. They address illegal activities, including poaching, taking of endangered species, dumping of trash, illegal operation of all-terrain vehicles, trespassing and more.

To report a violation on the Buffalo Lake National Wildlife Refuge:

  • Monday through Friday (8am to 4:30 pm), please call 806-499-3382 
  • After hours or on weekends, please call 580-596-6458 

For injured wildlife, please email The Bird House or call them at 806-681-7384. Or find a qualified wildlife rehabilitator near you.
