The following are some of the recent research projects conducted on the Bitter Lake National Wildlife Refuge.

     •     Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship (MAPS) Program: Continent-wide 
            Demographic Monitoring, in conjunction with the Institute for Bird Populations.
     •     New Mexico Mourning Dove Banding, in conjunction with New Mexico Department
            of Game and Fish.
