Alligator / USFWSThe U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service maintains a law enforcement presence on all national wildlife refuges.

Federal law enforcement officers ensure the protection of natural resources. They address illegal activities, including trespassing, poaching, taking of endangered species, dumping of trash, illegal operation of all-terrain vehicles and more.

To report a violation on Big Boggy National Wildlife Refuge:

  • Monday through Friday (7:30am to 4 pm), please call 979-964-4011. 
  • After hours or on weekends, please call 979-258-1176. 

For injured wildlife, please contact Gulf Coast Wildlife Rescue.

To report sea turtles (alive, sick or dead), call the hotline at 866-TURTLE5 (800-887-8535).
