The auto tour drive and hiking trails are open from May through October during daylight hours. Hiking is only allowed on the drive and designated hiking trails.
-Off-road vehicles, open fires, camping, overnight parking, and horseback riding are not allowed on the Refuge.-Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Moose have roamed Agassiz Refuge for decades. In recent years moose have dramatically declined. Researchers say the decline may be as a result of disease, parasites, a warming climate or some combination of all three.
